Spring is a special time of year for fresh new beginnings. Its a time of new birth of animals and trees and flowers once again begin to appear. People begin letting the fresh spring breezes flow through their opened windows. Many like to let their laundry hang in the fresh air and sunshine to dry. Colorful clothing may be seen outside hanging on lines to dry. Kids are outside playing for longer hours. Normally people seriously clean their home once a year. Spring is that time of year to clean away winter. This is a wonderful time of year and an especially great season to incorporate southwestern decorating touches into your home.

Spring is a perfect time of year to clear away cobwebs from our doorways. A lovely southwestern wreath added to our front door will add charm and greet family and friends in style. You may consider using a store bought wreath and adding small southwestern objects such as dried chili peppers, a few rusty horseshoes, or tiny woven Native American baskets. An herb that give a delightful scent is oregano. Use some tucked throughout your wreath. Be sure to add a colorful bow to complete the wreath.
